Roulette is the game, which is popular among many people, and it has some interesting facts related to it.
A French scientist and mathematician Blaise Pascal in 1657 was fascinated towards this game of chance and invented this game of roulette.  Some says that a French Monk out of his boredom in the monastery invented the game.

In the year 1700 the Modern day Roulette wheel with Black and Red spaces appeared. This wheel featured two zeros in it, which is still used in the American, wheel not the European one. The European wheel just have one zero which was invented by Louis and Francois Blanc, the two brothers.
