Peanut Anxiety Vs Russian Roulette
February 20th, 2009
A steady anxiety created by a peanut for Michael Frost family. When he was a year old an extreme allergy was identified to him. But according to his mother, a tryout intended at modifying the allergy had been life-or-death.
“It’s very hard to describe how much of a difference it’s made - not just in Michael’s life, but for all of us,” she commented. “A peanut allergy affects the whole family. You can’t go out to a restaurant. If your child goes to a birthday party, he takes a packed lunch. When he goes out you lose control of what he eats - and for so many years I’ve had a permanent knot of anxiety in my stomach. I feel I’ve been playing Russian roulette with my child’s life. Suddenly, those feelings have gone.”
45 year-old Mrs. Frost alleged that at commence of the tryout one sixteenth of a peanut was feed by Michael and right away it came out in nip and tuck prickly reaction and vomited incessantly. However, he could able to feed 12 peanuts after six months without any reaction.
The whole family works for London Underground along with his father 43 year-old and Anna his 7 year- old sister. On Michael’s 10th birthday, they are also scheduling a plan for a trip next month to a Chinese restaurant.
“I can eat lots of Chinese now, which is my favorite, and chocolate,” he said. “My allergy has been a problem for years. I’m so glad it’s gone.”
