Newly Opened Snoqualmie Casino Duped By Three

November 21st, 2008

Charges have been put against three New York Swindlers for attempting to dupe a newly opened Snoqualmie Casino by the King County prosecutors. The three named swindlers were Jorge A. Acosta, Jose Peralta-Yapor and Marcos Peynado. They were taken into custody by the law enforcers and charged with first-degree cheating. The charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. The men tried to dupe a tribe owned facility barely 4 days after it had opened.

The modus operandi was very novel and simple. One member bought Roulette Chips for $1. Later while playing the same player lifted some chips from the table in sly. The player left the table after stealing dozens of chips. The chips were given to a second player who returned to the table and bought the chips of the same color at a higher face value. The chips were exchanged at the end along with the stolen chips for a higher value.

According to tentative estimates of the state police the men had swindled more than $1500 in this fashion. Acosta, Peralta-Yapor and Peynado were helping three other men in the scam. Acosta, 30, and Peynado, 26, were released from jail after posting bond. Peralta-Yapor, 28, remains in custody.
