John McDonough asked to step aside

August 2nd, 2008

In order to stop slots, the Marylanders United is organizing a ballot question round for the voters for this year where the Secretary of State, John McDonough will not be involved in the drawing up process.

The Marylander United to Stop Slot’s Senior Advisor, Scott Arceneaux said that- “A former gambling lobbyist writing the slot gambling ballot question presents a clear conflict of interest, and we hope Secretary McDonough will step aside from this task and allow the ballot to be written in impartial fashion.”
